Peachtree Center Recognizes Breast Cancer Awareness

October
Peachtree Center Plaza

October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, an annual international health campaign organized by major breast cancer charities every year to increase awareness of the disease and raise funds for research, and Peachtree Center is proud to join thousands of others in support of such a worthy cause! To show our support, Peachtree Center is activating the Plaza in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month with a statement pink ribbon sculpture, a pink yoga class and a pink pumpkin patch.

Pink Floral Ribbon Sculpture

Throughout the month of October, we’ll feature a 12-foot floral pink ribbon sculpture in the Plaza as a symbol of our dedication to promoting awareness, and invite tenants and the community to visit, take pictures and embrace the hope to find a cure.

Pink Yoga Class

Join us for a special lunch-time yoga session (powered by Fitspot) in recognition of breast cancer awareness offered on October 24th  (noon – 1:00 p.m.).  Particpants are encouraged to show support for the cause by wearing pink, with the first 15 to sign up receiving FREE pink yoga mats, to register, please visit app.fitspot.com!

Pink Pumpkins in the Plaza

In partnership with the American Cancer Society’s | Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, Peachtree Center will also host “Pink Pumpkins in the Plaza” on October 24 (11 a.m. – 2 p.m.). The entire community is invited to visit the uniquely curated pink pumpkin patch to select their very own porcelain PINK pumpkin, with 100% of proceeds benefitting the American Cancer Society for research funding, support, and promoting early detection of breast cancer (For more information on the American Cancer Society | Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk and how you can be a part of saving lives, please visit https://mobileacs.org/2HOImvP).
